Mood Management

I have a series of evidence based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy programmes for mood management problems. There are 2 versions: Low Intensity and High Intensity.

Low Intensity Programme consists of between 8 and 12 CBT Mood Management modules and lasts between 6 and 8 weeks

The High Intensity Programme consists of all the Low Intensity Modules plus individual integrative psychotherapy, psychoeducational training and relapse prevention strategy management. This lasts between 10 and 16 sessions or longer, if necessary

CBT Programmes

These Mood Management Programmes are designed to provide the client with some information about the various disordered moods and behaviours and suggested strategies for how they can manage them. They are organised into modules that are designed to be worked through in sequence. Although it is not necessary that one module is completed before going on to the next, this is recommended. Each module includes information, worksheets, and suggested exercises or activities.

Group Psychotherapy

Group psychotherapy is available as either a low cost alternative to individual sessions or as relapse prevention and aftercare support or both. Groups are held weekly and a group commences when 4 clients express and interest. Groups are open-ended and prospective group members are asked to commit to a minimum of 6 sessions.

Longer-term interpersonal group psychotherapy is also available for those who wish to work on a deeper level.
